PICKFORD, D.S.O., M.C. Printed at the "Banbury Guardian" Office in 1919.
Additional information has been added from various other sources, including the War Diary of the 1/4th Oxford and Bucks, Medal Award Rolls, and Index Cards, De Ruvigny's Roll of Honour, Oxford Journal and Service Records where they have been found.
Where Bodies have been exhumed and reburied, map references relate to the co-ordinates on British WW1 Trench maps (select Trench Maps from the menu, for online resources.

The "Others" database also used as its starting point, the The War Record of the 1/4th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, also the War Diary of the 1/4th Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, Medal Award Rolls and Index Cards, Oxford Journal, Service and Pension Records. Thanks to Barry Burnham who has been a great help in compiling some of the details in a number of cases, in both databases.
The "Others" Database also includes men who served with 1/4th Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, but died with other Battalions, and men who died at home.
